My blog contains tons of tips to help you attract people to your FaceBook Page. Some of my most popular posts in this regard are here and here. But heres the thing, once you get people there, what do you do next? The more people at your Page, the more popular you and your products appear to be. But that does not always translate into sales leads. To make that happen, you have to engage with the people who are there, and one way to do that is via a FaceBook Party.

Im not talking about anything complicated or fancy either. Anyone can follow these tips for hosting a fun FaceBook Party that helps people learn more about what you have to offer. Here are the basic steps to follow.

  1. Check your insights. The right column of your FaceBook Page contains a link called Page Insights. Click that to see basic information about interaction on your page. Pay special attention to the Interactions statistics, which reflect the days your Page enjoys the most interactions.

I know a lot of people that have recently decided to leave 9-5 jobs to become self employed. One of the first things they do is hunt for someone to build them a great web site where they can blog, be tweeted about, and announce their services and portfolio. And those things are great to have, but it shouldnt be the first thing you do. I know because I did that first and it was wrong.

Hand out business cards and get people to subscribe to a newsletter youll send.

Dividends Should Jump. These 3 Just Did

Wall Street projects handsome increases to both profits and dividends for large U.S. companies in coming years. Investors should view the profit forecast with suspicion, but the dividend outlook seems believable. Below are listed some companies that have recently made big boosts to their payments.

Three signs suggest profit growth might disappoint. First, the S&P 500 index trades at just 10 times next year’s earnings forecast, which is low by historic standards and might mean that investors aren’t especially confident in the forecast.

Second, “top-down” estimates, whereby economists try to predict broad-market profits using measures of national prosperity, are lower than “bottom-up” forecasts, which are made up of many analysts’ narrow views of the companies they cover. In general, top-down forecasts react faster to economic trouble signs, like Friday’s news that the U.S. economy expanded at an annualized rate of just 1% in the second quarter, slower than previously thought.

Announcing INDIE Protégé Network!

When I was a young girl, Mr. Eddie Kennedy was my tennis coach. He always made me feel special and helped me develop the confidence I needed to eventually compete in the Mid-Atlantic Lawn Tennis Association and to lead my high school tennis team. One day, Mr. Kennedy was chatting after a match with some of his friends. I approached to greet him and he introduced me to his buddies as his Protégé. I had no idea what that meant, and when I asked him, he said it meant I was his special student.

Im not sure how special I was because Mr. Kennedy taught hundreds of Washington, DC, area kids to play tennis. I was just one of them. Even though I was one of many, Mr. Kennedys use of the term, Protégé to refer to me made me feel like I was the only student that mattered. It just sounds so fancy and all. Mr. Kennedy cheered every passing shot I made, and he lifted my spirits when my best efforts only resulted in balls going into the net. Mr. Ken
